Today in CWI, we went over the portion of the Asian map we did yesterday. Then, we did the far east and then asian subcontinent.Bruns then told us we don't have to do a blog this week!! (: (thanks bruns)Then, we discussed the blog we did this week on James Inhofe's article on global warming. Like it said in my blog yesterday, his opinions might be slighted a little because the people who sponsor his campaign is sponsored by oil companies. But at the same time, Inhofe makes a lot of good points, and I can definately see where he's coming from.Haley started off and talked about her opinion of the article. She first brought up the CO2 emissions. When they first started using things that created those emissions, there was an ice age that was predicted. and obviously that didn't happen. Then Luke discussed the hockey stick thing. I'm still a little confused about it(: And then we talked about the increase in temperature. You see ice caps melting and stuff on the news, but really the temperature is only going up a degree or two, and yes because of the extremes in the arctic areas, you will definately see more of a change than somewhere like here in Harlan, Iowa. Then Courtney told us about her free choice blog on President Obama's recent declaration of an emergency about the H1N1 flu.
