Nuclear Arms Race
It was a weapons build up between United States and the Soviet Union. We had the first atomic bomb then the Soviets tested there first bomb in 1949. Massive Retalliation is when some attacks us and we attack them back with greater force. Mutual Detturance is when each country has a bomb but decides not to use it. We detonate the first hydrogen bomb then britain get a bomb in 1952. The Korean war ends in 1953 and Stalin dies. ICBM's are mistles launched into the sky and they come down in many peices containing warheads. These we possible to be fired from nuclear subs.
Berlin Wall
Germany was split up into four sectors and the Allies joined together to make two sectors. The west sector of Germany was better because the East was communist and wouldnt let people have land so many moved west. The made a wall to separate East and West Berlin. Tunnels were dug under, people made lightweight bloons and many used rope or twine in an attempt to get accross the wall. Hungary opened it's boarders so people could go into there country. In 1990 the two sides were reunited.
