fidel castro..
-became interested in the political culture of the university
-the politician portion of his schooling was vital in cuba in 1945

-joined the anti american trip to bogota columbia

-trip was paid for by juan peron, argentina's army colonial president

-began to have money problems after getting married

-in 1950 he finally graduated with a doctor of laws degree and began a small partnership in havana

-this did not last long before the cuban revolution that he participated in started

-was not exectued after being captured during this skirmish

-castro wanted to over throw barista and he and all the other exiles from the moncada barracks known as the 26th of july movement.

-castro needed new tactics if he was going to over throw barista

-they planned to use underground guerilla tactics

-this tactic was used when the cuban's tried to revolt against spain and they became known as imperialistic regime

-operation verano was launched by batista to crush castro and any other anti government groups.

-castro's forces defeated the entire battalion at the battle of la plata

-after operation verano ended castro ordered three columns to invade central cuba

-on january 8th, 1959 castro's army strolled into havana victoriously
