Today we talked about the last assigned blog of the year which is due May 23. Than we talked about the end of the year info for the websites.

- To be elected in 52 he claimed that communist were taking over the government

· These attacks on suspected communists in the early 50s became known as mccarthyism
· Claimed to have the names of 57,81, and 205 communists in the state department
· No evidence
· Claimed that the democratic party was guilty of 20 years of treason for allowing communist into the government
· Republicans did little to stop him. Believed they would win election

- bullying of witnesses cost him public support
- three years later suffering from alcoholism died a broken man in 57
