Today we did a write to learn over why the U.S. and several other countries went to War with Irq in 1990. Then we went over central america's map. Afterwards we continued our Iraq blog discussions.
- We invaded Iraq on March 20, 2003 because we had gained information that Saddam was working on Weapons of Mass Destruction. Although there was never any evidence of theese weapons, we needed to stop them. Where we got the information that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction off of Saddam making it look like he did by not letting weapon inspectors come in because he was trying to scare off Iran.
- At first the war of 2003 was going pretty easy. Our only problem in Iraq is that once we leave a huge civil war would break out through out the whole country.
- The role that the United Nations and other countries play in this war: At first they refused to get involed, and now they've almost taken completely over.
- Key moments of Iraq war during the Bush Administration: Invastion 2003, setting up Iraq government in 2005, Saddam Hussein being captured and exicuted, the surge, and the fact that Bush said we will be out of the cities of Iraq by summer of 2009.
