Today is Tuesday and the wekk is already half over. W went on with a few people who who talked about the world war 2 movie that thy watched. A bunch of people watched "Saving Private Ryan", so there was quit a bit of repetition.
Jimmy, Brian, and Nelson started their WW2 presentation about China. The Treaty of Versailles transfered consessions to Japan instaed of China. This meant that Soveriegn power would not return to China. China did not like this one bit because Japan was their natural enemies. There were two major leaders of China during WW2.
1. How did the Treaty of Versailles impact them?
2. What type(s) of government did this country have in the interwar years(1919-1938)?
3. How did their leader, that led them throughout WWII, come to power?
4. How did this leader change their country(for the better and worse) prior to WWII?
5. What were the goals of the leader?
6. What was the military strategy of this country in the inter-war years(1919-1938)?
7. What role did they play in WWII?
8. Who were their allies in WWII?
9. How did WWII impact/effect the country?
The leader of China's Communist Party was Mao Zidong. He is responsible for brining communism to China. The other was Schaing or something like that. This guy was the actual leader of China. He was fighting a civil war against Mao, but they joined forces in order to fight off the Japanese.
China's goals in the war was to be a defense position. China did invade Japan in order to gain some resources. China was invaded by Japan on July 7, 1937 in Beijing. China's allies included Great Brittain, U.S., Soviet Union, Canada, Poland, Australia, and many more. China almost felt betrayed by us because we only sent money to china and not military strngth. China's military was poorly trained.
China was devastated by the War. Japan decimated the land and the people in it. People were astounded that Japan was able to take China and other countries apart. Japanese troops were expertly trained and won through military might and tactical genious. When Japan defeated Russia in the early 1900's, Japan became
the most powerful nation in Asia.
To me, this just goes to show that when you can outthink and out train your enemies, you will unconditionally dominate them, unless they somehow can survive through sheer dumb luck or lucky coincidence.
