Stalin means steal in Russian. He was only 5'3''. He was going to be a priest. He demanded respect. He killed about 20 million people gice or take. Churchill said that we should be more afraid of him rather than Hilter.

Kellogg Briand Pact-- This outlawed war. Japan signed it. United States signed it. It wasn't very realistic.

When depressions set it we put high tariffs on our products it made people not be able to buy things from us. Japan didn't have very many natural resources so they were hit very hard because of this. Everything that Japan had signed were pretty much worthless by this time.

Good Neighbor Policy-- We wanted Latin America to be good trading partners and allies if war were to break out. We had always not been on good terms with them and we wanted to treat them better.

Munich Conference-- Great Britain Germany Italy and France were the people that were there. They gave into Hitler (Great Britain and France). Chezch weren;t therre because they had no say in it. They let Hilter take that land. They gave it to him as long as he promised not to take any more land. He agreed by lying about it. Churchill thought that we should be stepping up to Hilter. Everyone else thought that they were doing something good by saving a war.
