USSR--drop out of WWI, sign different treaty with germany, dropped out to fight Bulshevic revolution, Lenin wins with comunism(poor rise up and over throw the rich, the government will whither away, classic society takes place)
Italy--Mussolini-invaded more minor countries
Germany--Weimar Republic-failed b/c of depression, hitler going around blaming this government, Hitler born in Austria, not well off family, might have been part Jewish, abused, hated school, loved art, fought in WWI, did not invent Nazi party but quickly rose through the ranks, tries to overthrow government, put in prison and writes book, in 30's tried to pull the wool over Germany's eyes
Japan--island with few resources, all for being part of legue of nations, depression hits and military takes over, invade china for resources, dropped out of league of nations
USA--not trading with countries at war(neutrality acts), quarantine speech-germany, italy, japan needed to be quarantined, Panay(ship) Incident atacked in china-nothing came of it, Kellogg-Briand Pact(outlawed war in 1927, things changed when the depression hit and Japen invaded China)

legue of nations--peace keeping organization, US didnt join, no military so it couldnt enforce anything
Nuremburg Laws 1935--made jews second class citizens and removed basic civil rights, being jewish meant anyone who considered themselves jewish or ha three or four grandparents that were jewish(eventually one or two), jews could only marry jews, sent to ghettos
Kristallnacht(the night of broken glass)--Nazi youth broke windows of jewish homes/businesses/synagogues, jews arrested and sent to concentration camps
Munich Conference--Hitler wanted the Sudetenland b/c there were Germans there, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, France, agreed to give it to him if he agreed to stop invading countries, he agreed b/c it was what they wanted to hear
