Vladimir Lenin was the leader of the Soviet Union going into the war. He died within a few years and eventually Stalin took over. We'll never really know what would have happened if he was leader throughout the war. As a result of The Treaty Of Versailles many countries lost and gained land. The countries that lost land were Russia and Germany. They wanted the land back and they eventually did get it back for a little while. Territorial loss was alot. Germany had Alsace-Lorraine which was given to France. Eupen and Malmedy was given to Belgium. Northern Schleswig was given to Denmark and many many many more were taken from Germany and given to other countries. Financial losses were also a result of this. They had to take full responsibity for starting World War 1. Adolf Hitler would go around critizing the Weimar Republic saying they stabbed them in the back. They put us in this huge depression. They caused Germany's military to be worthless. He blamed them for everything that has happened and he spread the word to everyone.The Weimar Republic struggled getting started. Hitler used the Democracy to come to power. He tried to overthrow the government and eventually went to prison.The League of Nations failed because the United States never joined even though it was our idea to start it. They could not wage war. THey didnt have a strong enough military. When everyone was invading all these countries they were asking them to leave and they wouldnt listen and eventually they dropped out of the League of Nations. Benito Mussolini didnt like going to his catholic school and was also kicked out of his school because he stabbed a kid. Eventually he became a school teacher. Then became a dictator of Italy. Fachism was big on nationalism. Nothing should be more important to you than the state of italy is what Mussolini said. The open door policy allowed all trade into China, it also gave Chinese independence.Hitler was born in Austria. He didnt really fit in with kids at schoool and got in trouble. He also went to Austria to try to get into art school. He did not make it then later went into WW1. He rose to the ranks in the Nazi party and people began to listen to him.
