Today in class, we are going over the rules and expectation. We are discussing on how to write daily blogs correctly: you need to write the day, month and date in the title box. These are our notes, so we do not have to worry about spelling and punctuation. But we do need to worry about those characteristics in our assigned blogs, on which he will be going over momentarily. If there is no school, your blog for that day on a Monday through Friday, your daily blog will say "there will be on school today due to...". The days that you are absent, your daily blog will include “I was absent today." Also, if you are absent, it would be great to go in and look at another person’s blog to understand what we learned that day, or even to study for a test. Every week you will have an assigned blog, and you can figure out that topic by the homepage on Mr. Brun's twitter feed thing, or also there will be a blog on the US History homepage stating the assigned blog topic. There will be an assigned blog checklist on the message blog page stating what is needed to get a 100 percent on the assigned blogs.Assigned Blog- makes sure you list all your sources in assigned blogs and projects. You need to have at least two pictures in your assigned blog post. You may copy and paste the URL or you may save into your computer and browse and paste. Unlike dailies, you need to use paragraphs, spaces, correct punctuation, capitalization, do not start sentences that start with because or but, DO NOT PLAGORIZE, and make you sure you reflect throughout your blog post! You will not receive full credit if you do not have pictures, that will be a 12 out of 20. If you embed a video, that will count as both of your pictures. Go to the US History homepage and read the blog to understand what to put into each paragraph. If you have any problems or questions, start a message board post to ask for help.Message Board- your message board posts are under a label called FORUM. It is on the main site as well as your personalized homepage. This is a main part of your grade as well. Starting and responding to each other’s posts is worth 20 points a week. I think.. It may be about anything related to help, school, history, or current events.Personalize- Be sure to personalize your homepage! Add music, pictures, backgrounds, applications and what not. Make sure school appropriate..Also, be sure to write your blogs in Word so that if your internet crashes, you will have your blog backed up and not seven missing paragraphs.The assigned blog due Sunday at 11:59 pm is-List and describe the causes of the stock market crash and Great Depression.
