Today in class there were a few students that have to do their blog discussions over the Great Depression and stock market crash.Mr. Bruns is reminding us how important it is to type blogs in word and copy and paste your findings. its not that hard!We went over the project. Because we had a lot of students gone yesterday in our class, he is explaining what to do, who has what subject, and where to find the project information. In order to figure that out, you must go to the US Histroy webpage, and look for blog posts at the bottom of the page with a Heading/Title involving the current project. You may also use that in your project as well.Blog Discussion Week 2--The FDIC protected people’s money in banks, that is still around today.-FDR’s plan of recovery- NEW DEAL! helped with business regulations, organizations, etc. He wanted to give people a fresh start.-Indian Re Organization act- native Americans who went to boarding school did not like it as much because tired of being told what to do by whites. Indians who did not attend boarding school did like it. This was meant to give Native Americans more freedom, to be able to raise their children- Government paid farmers to plant less.-John Collier- average guy, Atlanta. He went to Mexico and did not like how Native Americans were treated. When Roosevelt stepped in, he elected him as head of the Berea of Indian Affairs.-Social Security act- meant for retired and disabled. Is still around today.-Civilian Conservation Act- aimed at young men. Gave people a place to work and live. You had a place to live, food to eat, and clothes on their back.-New Deal- relief, reform and recovery.
