Today is already Tuesday. I know that it isn't very far into the week, but I think that it is going pretty quickly anyways. Tonight there is a wrestling meet. It's senior's night, so come and support us. We started off the class with a Writing To Learn thing. The two questions were about what caused the stock market crash and the Great Depression.\After that, we re-went over our New Deal Project. If no powerpoint, you must provide a handout to the class.After that, we did our blog discussions for our last week’s blog assignment.The FDIC was established to protect your money when it is in the bank. That law is still around today, and you can see the FDIC seal in any bank that you go to.The Indian Reorganization Act was an attempt by the government to relocate, and help the Indian People. Better schools, freer privileges, and more freedom in the country, and other steps were taken to try and give more power to the Native Americans and Americanize them a little less.The Dawes Act tried to get the Native Americans to settle like the settlers. John Collier resented the way that Native American people were being treated. He lobbied against the Dawes act and did much work to aid the Native Americans.This is as far as I will go today, so I guess you will just have to catch my blog tomorrow.
