What made the 1920's "roaring," fun, and exciting? Some of the things that made the 1920's roaring and exciting are that people were buying more things. Electricity had just came out and things like the toaster were being made so everyone was excited to buy things like that and benefit from them in there homes. The invention of the automobile was other huge thing for the 1920's. This gave people more freedom them ever. People could date people from other towns, go on vacation, work in the city, and live in the country. Higher wages came about. People started buying on credit, which is buy now and pay later. That caused people to be in debt later on because they couldn't pay it off. Movie theaters first came out and people looked up to the actors and actresses. Many people felt as if they learned things from movies for an example guys felt like that's how they learned how to kiss a girl. I like that is interesting because everyone still watches movies today and goes to the movie theater. People also still look up to the actors and actresses to this day. There were also drive-in movie theaters in result of the automobile and movies being produced. Women were given the right to vote during the 1920's. Women also wore looser clothing and started going to high school, graduating and attending college.
