What made the 1920 roaring, fun, and exciting?The 1920’s was a jazz age. Jazz was the upbeat music of this time period.More independence was given to people and their lifestyles were changing quickly.During the 1920’s there was the 3rd Industrial Revolution. New things were being invented. Some new inventions made life easier and more exciting.Making a car took less time and was more affordable. Wages went up for the workers. The automobile made things happen. Henry Ford made the Model T car and the five dollar day.Electronic appliances were being invented making life easier and more fun.People were moving to the cities for a better lifestyle and traveled more because of the automobile.There were several changes for the women such as the way they dressed, they were getting jobs that pay, women gained the right to vote, and they even started dating.During the 1920s electricity became a huge factor and made housework easier. Although housework became easier women still had a lot of responsibility.People were getting more benefits from work and started paying on credit which alowed them to buy more.Sports and movies were very popular in the 1920s. Movies were the most powerful influence, it was a sense of education to some.Advertising was improving people’s lives. By radio it was easy to advertise. Asdvertisment made women buy more thinking they needed the item being advertised.Groups and organizations formed to fight for the blacks.In the 1920s there was prohibition or a ban on alcohol. You could not make or sell alcohol.I learned a lot from this video. I really enjoyed learning about the 1920s and watching their lives change so much due to new inventions. You could tell that the peoples atttitudes were changing as well. For an example..the women. The ways they dressed, their jobs with pay, and even dating! It was like watching a new culture form and i thought it was really interesting!
