Today in class we are reviewing for the test, as well as discussing the Blog Assignment #8 under the World War 2 project, which will be broken down into two parts.

Here are what we are discussiong for the test starting tmr.

Describe the cycle of the Great Depression?

What was the New Deal(1st and 2nd) and it's goals(3 R's)?

first new deal was aimed t helping the top and down(the rich). the second new deal was aimed at helping the bottom up.. the three r's are relief, refrom and recovery(from depression).

Why did people criticize the New Deal?

People called FDR communist socialist. going too far, and not doing enough.

Why was FDR upset with the US Supreme Court and what did he do to try to solve this issue?

he tried to get a law apssed where he could pack the SC with democrats and could bump it from 9 to 15. He had lost a support from democrats for this.

How did the New Deal help:

unemployed
farmers
factory workers/labor
young people
banks/business
home owners
elderly
Native Americans

Describe the culture of the 1930's.

priming the pump

There are 16 questions total, so plan on about 10 or 12 of them. Each question will be around 5 points.. If you do not know one of them and take a zero, you are already killing your grade.

-For the WW2 project, Kyla and I have Great Britian. the following are the points we need to cover together.

Your group will research the following topics about the country that you were assigned:

1. How did the Treaty of Versailles impact them?
2. What type(s) of government did this country have in the interwar years(1919-1938)?
3. How did their leader, that led them throughout WWII, come to power?
4. How did this leader change their country(for the better and worse) prior to WWII?
5. What were the goals of the leader?
6. What was the military strategy of this country in the inter-war years(1919-1938)?
7. What role did they play in WWII?
8. Who were their allies in WWII?
9. How did WWII impact/effect the country?

Your group must split up the above topics and create a powerpoint presentation or video.
