Describe the cycle of the Great Depression?
lay people off- people didn't have money- nobody had money so they didn't buy anything- then the companies lost money-(repeats)
What was the New Deal(1st and 2nd) and it's goals(3 R's)?
FDR's plan to get America back on their feet in the 1930's. 1st new deal went to banks and stock market; economy. 2nd went to the common person, jobs, soc. sec. Relief(people) Reform(economy) Recovery(from the depression, long term).
Why did people criticize the New Deal?
Some though FDR was going to far others thought he wasn't going far enough. Long, Townsend, Cauflin didn't think he was going far enough.
Why was FDR upset with the US Supreme Court and what did he do to try to solve this issue?
Saying New Deal's(AAA and IRA) were unconstituional. Fixed by court packing, every guy that was over 70 he could add one more and it didn't pass. He wanted to make it so people in the court would pass his deals. people though he was being a dictator.
