Today in class, we went over the Canada map and found out we will take the test tomorrow and the next day now. WOO! (: I need to look over the islands that we never really went over them. We watched a movie next. Ugh, another movie. It was called the People Bomb. We have to define over population and identify the causes and effects of it. And of course Max and Bruns got started talking about their famous basketball. But we finally got to the last discussion, Jessica's.We started the movie- I learned that fertility rates are dropping.The defintion of over population according the video is not how many people there are, but how much impact each person has.The causes of over population are people not educated about birth control. The main one, though, is poverty. The people who are in poverty usually are the ones who are not educated which means they keep geting pregnant and keep having kids. This cycle just keeps repeating. The women in Etheopia don't know any ways to prevent unwanted pregnancy; a lot of them don't want any more kids. Some people want their daughters to have as many kids as possible, this probably isn't the best idea if the area is already over populated. Men in India don't like birth control pills, some abuse their wife because they are using it. That is so wrong.The effects of over population are a lot of people are getting illegal abortions now. Some of them have something go wrong and they eventually die.
