Today in U.S. History class we went over what we learned about in our "What We Remember Learning About In Eight Grade". The things I learned about are the colonists came to America looking for gold, farming, fur trade, and because of bad government. They also came here looking for adventures. The French and Indian War was actually fought against Great Britain, because of land issues. The Revolutionary War was fought between us and Great Britain. That was when we won our independence against them. I learned that The Articles of Confederation was a type of government that failed because it had no power. Our country was more like 13 independent countries at that time. The things I learned about the U.S. Constitution today were that James Madison was the father of the constitution and that it establishes peoples rights.
