- The allied nations rejoiced.
- Japan was in disarray they had no government.
- Many Japanese officers killed themselves because they knew they'd be in a lot of trouble.
- The Japanese people heard their Emperor's voice for the first time ever on the radio say they surrendered.
VE Day (Victory in Europe)
- Sailors of the navy found ou about the end of teh war using European radio.
- the king and queen appeared 8 times on the balcony of Buckingham palace.
- Churchill gave a impromt speech from the ministry.
