We went over the european map and then we did the blog discussions. Senator Inhofe makes several great points as to why global warming is really a fear play on the public by the media. I personally agree because really the earth has been around for billions of years and humans have been around for a lot less than that, I think its kind of stuck up for us to think that we could really have that much of an impact on the world. After our discussion we started watching the planet in peril movie. Green land is losing a hundred billion tons of ice each year.
1. I like the web site. It makes it really easy to keep up with what you have been doing in class and get other peoples opinions on different topics. It might just be me but it would be easier to find different things like the maps and our assigned blog topics if they were like labeled by topics not just what number it is.
2. I like the message board posts because its a good way to keep up with whats happening in the school and the world and Its a good way to get opinions on a variety of topics. One thing about having to do the message board posts is its hard to keep track of how many posts you are supposed to have each week.
3. I actually really like the daily blogs, because its a lot better than taking notes and stuff like that and also it makes it really easy to go back and study for a test when you know what you talked about each day that week.
4. The assigned blogs are interesting but some of the ones are kind of hard to find updated information and multiple sources for that information. Like the middle eastern countries because most of the stuff you find is before the war or on the war and things like that, other than that I think they are pretty informative.
5. The web sites are cool but it would be more effective, I think if you have like all the people in the class become friends on the websites it would make it easier to read other people's blogs on what you did in class.
6. I like the oral tests because I know personally that they make me actually study and think about how Im going to say the information instead of just memorizing what someone says and writing it down. I would say that you might want to like do them in the hall or something because you can hear people and, if its not on a map, those are the answers.
7. Haven't really taken the test yet :) but I think the blog is a really good way to review and study all the topics and make sure you know them before you have to take the final test.
8. I think the way you teach is actually really effective. I know that a lot of people would rather discuss topics and be a part of the teaching than rather listen to a teacher tell you everything you need to know about some topic.
