Exploration/ Colonization- the reason why they first went out was to find a new trade route, find money, and spices. Colonization is when people start to go there for a reason, to live. Exploration is when people just went to find new land. Portugal, France, Spain, and England were the big four countries that went out and colonized. Left for religious freedom, land's to expense, famine, escape criminal records, or poor government. Came here because of adventure, religious freedoms, and new land.Revolutionary War- The British put a lot of taxes on things because they were in debt so the colonists got mad. The colonists wanted somebody in parliament to represent them because they felt like it wasn't fair. It started in 1775 between the British and the Colonists, the French helped the Colonists. It lead to the winning war and getting our country's freedom.Articles of Confederation- First government that was set up in the "New Land", America, and they eventually failed. Land Ordinance described how states would be set up. It failed because all of the power went to the state government.-Breann Lehr
