Treaty of Versailles

The treaty was signed five years after the assasination of Arch Duke Ferdinad, and was signed only by Germany, the allies of Germany were dealt with in other treaties, it took six months for the treaty to signed after armistace was declared. In the treaty, germany was declared the reason for causing the war, along with that Germany had to get rid of many of their territories and pay for the reconstruction of Europ, totaling around 6 billion dollars, then had a limit put on their military.

Germany, Austria, and Humgry were excluded from the treats, as well as Russia for dealing with a diffrent treaty. France, who had been extremely devasted by the war, seeked to weaken Germany and rebuild some of their own strength, Britain, who had little damage done to their land, wanted resources to rebuild it and to support widows and those unable to work due to war, they also lookeed to Germany as a future trading partner, America wanted to get out of Europeon affairs as quickly as possible, and put forward their 14 points of which basically made it so Germany had to give land back, Berlin would be restored and that there would be no more secreat treaties.

as for the limitations on the German military, the rhineland was to become a demilitirzed zone, that the armed forces will not go beyond 100,000 aswell as conscription being taken away, many restrictions for the size and navy, as well as no armored cars or tanks, and planes.

Deaths of the war

Britain-- 750,000

France-- 1,400,000

Belgium-- 50,000

Italy-- 600,000

Russia-- 1,700,000

America-- 116,000

Germany-- 2,000,000

Austria-Hungry--1,200,000

Turkey-- 325,000

Bulgaria-- 100,000

I believe that the treaty helped bring about world war two, by making so many germans poor, as well as leaving them with a feeling of need for national pride and a even hate for prosperous jews, of which helped hitler propel himself in politics
