1607 13 colonis were founded, came to America and formed a colonie
Set sail in 1492 august and found land the same year in October
Ending slavery was abolished- during civil war time
eric talked aboyt the expansion and they also talked about the trail of tears
found out why the sooners are called the sooners how they got there name
got alot of land from the lousisana purchase,
Declaration of indepence- trying to make them pay forall their crimes like not pauing taxws.. etc
now that we declared independance and lsot it would be treason but we did win so we didnt have to worry about that

alec also talked about colonization and the first succesfull colony was called jamestown, started the us and brought peole to the new world, big part of history
Landbridge- came on a bridge tthat was covered in water and the native americans came from asia, they walked across following the food sources, whick was a very long time ago and is no longer there. it is a theory but is excepted

Gold rush- lots of people came during this time to try and get rich but it was dangerous, san Francisco 49ers named after them some peolple did actually get rich tho
War of 1812, lasted 2 1/2 years, between the us and the uk. the uk had many more kills but there really wasnt anyr result from it.. kind of a pointless war. just unresolved issues oth rev war
mexican american war, in 1846-48 war on fouren soil after texas gaind independace, under command of zachary taylor. when war was over america got alot of south, south west land, won and half payed for it. it alllll used to be mexico. after this texas won-battle of the alamo- texas won and became an independent country, none as the lonestar.
western expansion- lewis and clarck wrer the first to start

The civil war was the most deadly war for the US at least and one of the most major reasons was because of slavery. The propose of this war was to prevent slavery from spreading to other colonies. The original goal for linclon was to get states that seceded, to come back and join the US.
Louisiana purchase, they bought half the US almost and bought if from france at 3 cents an acers. great purches for the US and not during war time. just made the US bigger.
Reconstructining america, was putting it back to gether after the civil war and the blacks got more churches etc. 1865-1877. rebuilt the south, physicaly, economicly, socially, rebuild citys, goverments. everythingw as different becasue of slavery so it was rebuilt in many different ways. give black males rights to vote, giving them jobs. notherners took over the southerners, and they were not happey about it. white racist southerners took over the land. segregation.
Cali Gold Rush, people come from everywhere, and they were called the 49ers and it was dangerous, out of 300,00 people not really any money at all, became from lower class people to upperclass. most people that went there did not get rich. cause if you found alot of gold it could be bad for you with someone trying to hurt you to get to it. made the US richer as a Country.
Alaska was purchades from russia for 7.2 billion dollars in 1867. people thought it was not a big deal just a chunck of ice but it is good for oil and attraction
Undergournd railroad, was a big deal, they needed more slaves in the south becasue of having more land and it was the rich land owners that did have them. they had bounty hunter people that found blacks then kept them or sold them.
Alamo- 13days long texans vs mexicans, all the texans died and alot of mexivans died with them, part of the big war of the Texas war for independance
