Today we continued on our presentations. At the rate were going I don’t think im going to have to go until like Monday.What was the New Deal(1st and 2nd) and it's goals(3 R's)?-Relief started a holiday where businesses would close for the day and they also built roads and schools and stuff like that. It was basically relief for the people.-Recovery was to rebuild and repair older homes. It helped keep kids in school and college. Recovery from the depression.-Reform the economic, stock market, banking, business system.How did the New Deal help:unemployed – The WPA was started to help feed children and to distribute food to people who needed it. They would give out clothing to poor people. The WPA was there to help people find a job in what they wanted to do. It provided about 1 million jobs.The CWA they hired about 4 million people and they took a few million people and gave them a welfare check. It lasted 6 months that created construction jobs for people. They were offered high wages and they were spending a lot of money.Franklin went to college at Harvard. He was born in New York and he died in Georgia. He was the 32nd president. He beat Herbert Hoover in 1932 and was a democrat.Today we got through Rey and Jackie.
