Goal PresentationsGender Equality-Goal- Eliminate gender diparity in primary and secondary education, by 2005. Problems are women arent treated fairly. Men outnumber women in jobs by getting paid more. Were not anywhere close to accomplishing this goal because we were suppose to make it by 2005 and its now 2011 and were still not even close, mostly in the other countries. Success stories- Womens rights, bangladeesdh court combats, Thailamds New constitution. Morccos family law. Poverty is the main problem.Universal Education-Target- Have all primary aged kids to go to school by the year 2015. Enrollment in 2005 we had a gain of 6% and if we continue at this rate we will not make it. Approximately 69 million school aged kids are not going to school. Problems- We needed to get all kids going to school by 2009 which we didnt make, and also many kids are dropping out, mostly in Sub-Saharan Africa. Ambolishing fees in poor countries, recruiting retirees and promoting education for girls. The UN is supporting smaller countries in adding primary schools, and also supportting putting an end to child marriages. 93% attend primary schools, and our goal is to reach 100% which most likely is not going to happen.
