Today, we learned a little bit more of the Asian map. A lot of them end in -stan! it's kind of annoying really. The ones today were a little harder.Then we finished the Iraq story we did. Me and Erin told yesterday about Saddam Huessin, like his life and stuff. Today we first talked about why Iraq invaded Kuwait. It was mainly for their oil to make money to pay off their debt. Also, Iraq has never accepted Kuwait as a state. People were beginning to be afraid of Iraq and having them invade their countries next, so Kuwait asked the U.N. to come help, so we did. Lauren then pointed out that Iraq accused Kuwait of taking oil from across the border.Why we helped Kuwait our and went to war was because they invaded Kuwait. They asked the UN for help, but it was mainly the United States that took action.
