Today in CWI, first we finished discussing the free choice blogs from last week.Lauren told us about her story that she did on there are over a billion people in the world starving. The UN and people are working on it and hopefully it will get solved.Max did his on the story 5 things the US can learn from China. Obama recently was over there visiting and the possible things that the US can do. The 5 things that they suggested were be ambitious, education matters, look after the elderly, save more, and look over the horizon. Those are some pretty good tips and we can learn a lot from them.Becca did her story on a baby with a disease. This 13 month old baby died very shortly after the law suit about his life. Since he wasn't going to ever be able to live by himself, the mother thought it would be best to have him die a planned death, but the father was against it. He had a disease and the only way he was surviving was the ventilators from the hospital. The dad finally gave in,so the boy died a planned death.My story was about a bomb sniffing dog that went missing about 14 months ago in the middle east, and she was finally found.Nicole did hers on a girl that went missing in 1992. Her mom left early to go to work and her grandma was coming to pick her up. She was standing outside waiting for the grandmother and was kidnapped. The mother couldnt find her when she tried. She got a package about a month later addressed to the girls father, but he didn't live with them anymore, so she opened it and it was her glasses. The girl still hasn't been found.The rest of the day, we had a work day.
