We went over the 50 states map, and finished the discussions on Afghanistan. During 9/11 president bush was actually in Florida reading to elementary children. This was actually the second time al quieda attacked the world trade centers. Alquieda is a radical terrorist group that is spread throughout Pakistan and Afghanistan. Poverty has played a role in terrorism. We attacked Afghanistan because they harbored and allowed terrorist to reside and plan there. The invasion of Afghanistan was called Operation Enduring Freedom and it was put into motion in October of that year. One of President Bush’s plans was to increase attacks on terrorist groups and pursue nations that harbors and protects terrorists. When he stated that if you were not with us you were against us the world began to view him as a bully.
