Today's topics, continued from our Democratic vs. Republican debate, was taxes and health care. The Democrats think that the rich should pay more taxes because they have more money to waste and the middle class and lower class shouldn't have to pay as much. Then the Republican's think that this is not fair, the wealthy worked hard for their money, everybody should pay the same amount. When it comes to health care, the Democrats think that the government should have a special system to help out the poorer get health care and pay for it. The Republican's think that doing that would raise taxes, and there for would prefer that we just work on the current health care systems we have. Before we got into our discussions today we had three right to learn topics we wrote about.
