Today Trey and Makayla presented. Trey's topic was Capitalism. Capitalism is an economic and political system where businesses are privately owned/peole own and control businesses. United States and Canada are two examples of countries with Capitalism. Free Market Economy is about the same thing. Makayla's topic was Socialism, but she lost her powerpoint and could not present. The government is in control of businesses, ect. under Socialism. Socialism is designed to make people more equal. In our country things like the Post Office and School are run by the government. Today we started our U.S. map tests!
