Today we started the hour off by doing a write to learn activity. We actually did three of them and they were over the topics we’ve been discussing in our debate. When everyone was done with that we got into continuing our debate. We got pretty deep into our discussions today but because of this we didn’t get through many of the topics we were supposed to. The topics we went over today were health care and taxes. Democrats think that the government should help people that can’t pay for their own health care, republicans oppose this. Republicans believe that everyone should have the same amount of tax cuts. Democrats believe that we should have a public option. This pretty much means that taxes should be cut for middle and low class and be raised for all who are rich. Our debate will continue farther tomorrow and possibly even Monday.
