Today people continued testing, while the rest of us worked on our projects.Calvin Coolidge was a new president during the 1920's. He said "the cheif business of the American people is business.... The man who builds a factory builds a temple- the man who works there worships there." He favored government policies that would keep taxes down and business profits up. Also give businesses more available credit in order to expand. They wanted to keep government interference to a minimum. It seemed to work, it continued to place high tariffs on foreign imports. That helped American manufacturers and at the same time wages were rising because of new technology and so was productivity.
