-Southern- tobacco and cotton plantations, slaves

-we win
-force Britain into Canada

-have the right to break away from Britain
-didn't like George the III abusing us
-wanted to have our own rights

-first government of the United States
-states have more power than central government
-had no money or power

-sets up the government
-protects people's rights
