Today I did my presentation on the US Homefront. Which concluded our class in projects, until next weeks COLD WAR PROJECTS.

Mr. Bruns is starting his presentation today.. He he beginning with the US Homefront. So far he has gotten into the same things that Kyla and I have.

-they could provide much needed cover

-bombing raids deveasted enemy territory

Italian Front

-planned and invaded campaign of Sicily on the mainland

-more deaths and wonunded by infrontry froves than any Wstern Europe

-operation Baytown, operation Avalanche, operation Slapstick

-largest island in the MEditerranean sea

-Autonomous region of Italy

-appalian mountains ran ride down middile of italy and germany had control of them

D-Day

-June 6, 44 -D Day

-aera was not open to citizens beefore landnigso no spies could get in

-beaches were two americans, two british, one candadian

-air landings.

-success because of the weather(cloudy and stormy so hitler allowed some to go home)

-canada, greatn britain, and united states.

-nmade an all out attack

-opperation overlord

-Liberation Of Paris--Battle for Paris.

-Ardennes OFfensice AKA- Battle of the Bulge-- name of german offensice attack-

-berlin was major hotspot started cold war(post world war II)

Pacific War

-alix-japan, thailand, other captured lands.

-alllied- us. austrailia, britian, newtherlands, new zealand, india

-japan needed resources fro their own war

-werent getting any from the us

-caused them to look for them in many nations in the pacific

-MAYLA--day after pearl harbor japan invaded thailand. took in hours. used thailand as.--british and indian forcves were overwhelmed. pushed to singapore. japanese moved across the strait disguised as tourists and crossed at night.
