For basically the whole class, we had ited practice questions. Only ten minutes left in class and we haven't got anything accomplished. And now we are just starting presentations.
Pacific Front
The war was primarily started after Pearl Harbor. The main groups were Japan and the US. The majow generals for the US were Chester W. Nimitz and Douglas MacArthur. For Great Britains their generals were Archibald Wavell and Louis Mountbatten. China's generals were Chianf Kai-shek and Chen Cheng. Japan's majpor generals were Hideki Tojo and Kotohito Kan'in. India's weas Subhas Bose. Thailand's was Plaek Pibsenggram. Japan's military stratigie was not to fight above ground and they called back for no survivors. Japan had the Kamakazie would fly their plains into the US's ships and basically kill themselves. They didn't want to fight above ground so the US wouldn't see them. The US focused on island hopping and they tried to get to Japan to as fast as possible then launch an air attack. They fought mostly with submarines when they were in the ocean. If needed, they would have invaded Japan. The famous battles were Pearl Harbor, Iwo Jima, Battle of Midway, Battle of Peleliu, Coral Sea, The Phillippines and Guadalcanal Campaign.
