We had an activity to do today that took most of the class period. Then Sam and Alex finished their presentation on the Pacific.
The major Allied generals were, U.S.-Chester Nimitz and Douglas MacArthur, GB-Archibald Wavell, Chen Cheng-China. The major Axis powers Generals were Hideki Tojo-Japan. The military strategy for Japan was they didn't fight above ground. They called back for no survivors and they had to kill at least 10 Americans before they died. The comacozy was part of the Japanese airforce, they would purposely fly their planes into US ships. The US focused on island hoping, they wanted to get to Japan as fast as they could then they would launch an air attack, they fought with submarines a lot. If they needed to eventually they were going to invade Japan. The most famous battles were Pearl Harbor, Iwo Jima, Battle of Midway, and The Philippines.
