Today we started off the class with some dumb ITED practice so that we don't get put on the naughty list for schools. These questions are dumb and dont do a whole lot. I did like the one about the ostrichs and people putting their heads in the ground to try and ignore Hitler and hope that he will just go away. The cartoon was drawn by Dr. Suess which was what made it good.

Oh yeah, today is Earth Day and I suppose that Mr. Bruns' class is the class that helps the Earth the best. Presentations started back up. D-Day was on June 6, 1944. D-Day is consdered a successful operation. D-Day was known as Operation Overlord. Nazi Europe was invaded. The United States, Canada, and Great Brittain were the three forces that invaded. There was very stormy weather in the week of the invasion so Hitler was sure that the Allies would not invade in stormy weather. An unpredited lapse in storms gave the Allies the perfect day to invade an unsuspecting Germany.

We had confused Hitler into thinking that we would invade farther north than where we had invaded. We wanted the Germans to think that we would first attack a German city called Calias. Hitler was positive that the attack would take place in this area so he sent a large task force there to defend an invasion that would never take place.

Dwight D Eisenhower, General Montgomery, and George Patton were the military leaders responsile for the invasion. All three of these men were extremely brilliant tactical planners. The Allied Breakout: The Allies made an all-out attack on the axis forces. The Allies performed an attack that surround the Nazis. Operation Dragoon was the allied invasion of sputhern France. Operation was an extremely complex operation that was an immense amphibious invasion that is not well known to this day.

The Liberation of Paris: The liberation of Paris officially ended Operation Overlord. Operation Market Garden was a large airborne attack fought in Germany and Normandy. The Axis forces were unable to get necessary supplies to contiue battling the Allies for an extended amount of time. This gave the Alleis a much needed advantage and the Nazis were beat and pushed back.
