Today we presented our WW2 projects.
Germany:
- How did the Treaty of Versailles impact them? Made them got all the blame for starting WW1, lost 12 to 15% of their land, reduced their armed forces.
2. What type(s) of government did this country have in the interwar years(1919-1938)? When Hitler came to power their made the Nazi party, beforethen it was the Weimarrepublic, Hitler also made the third Reich.
3. How did their leader, that led them throughout WWII, come to power? Hecame to power when Von Hindenburg died and he was appointed chancellor
4. How did this leader change their country (for the better and worse)prior to WWII? He made it a dictatorship, Hitler rebuilds the military,got the economy going again, but he took away the rights of the Jew anddestroyed their business
5. What were the goals of the leader? eliminate the Jewish people and getthe back the land they lost due to the Treaty of Versailles, he also wantto create “lebransraum” or living space in Russia.
6. What was the military strategy of this country in the inter-war years(1919-1938)? Improve the use of weapons Blitzkrieg, not fighting in thetrenches
7. What role did they play in WWII? The caused most of WWII, their overran the countries
8. Who were their allies in WWII? The AXISpowers Italy,Japan, Hungary,Bulgaria,and Romania
9. How did WWII impact/effect the country? It got divided in to fourzones, the Nazi party fell apart.
Great Britain
- How did the Treaty of Versailles impact them? They got money from Germany to pay for the war damages, the got African colonies from Germany,and
2. What type(s) of government did this country have in the interwar years (1919-1938)?They had many different governments: fascist party in 1921, Conservativegovernment in 1925 – 29, and the labour in 1929-31 but they primarily hada conational monarchy,
3. How did their leader, that led them throughout WWII, come to power?Churchill was a minister and chambering resigned so Churchill was next inline.

5. What were the goals of the leader? He was aggressive promised nothingbut “blood, toil, tears, and sweat” he was committed to an all out waruntil the war is won
6. What was the military strategy of this country in the inter-war years (1919-1938)?They first tried to avoid war, theywere a more aggressive counter in the war, the USAgave Great Britainarms and ammunition, and they tried to prevent German from invading GreatBritain.
7. What role did they play in WWII? They attempted to appease Germanyby signing the Munich act:(1938; G.B. - chamberlain, Italy-Mussolini, Germany- Hitler, France-Daladier; Hitler demanded the Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia;Policy of Appeasement).
8. Who were their allies in WWII? They were party of the Allied powers
9. How did WWII impact/effect the country? Their naval powers were hurt,men 18-61 and women 20-30 had to join the service or work in factories orwork in the mines.
Italy
- How did the Treaty of Versailles impact them? They were Promised Land that could not be given away to them but they got some,
2. What type(s) of government did this country have in the interwar years (1919-1938)?They had a fascist government
3. How did their leader, that led them throughout WWII, come to power? BenitoMussolini was the prime minister and the people choose him
4. How did this leader change their country (for the better and worse)prior to WWII? He kept the economy strong during the international depression,he bring efficiently to the country.

Orlando- wanted land and a fair share of land after the war
Mussolini- to make Italy a powerful country
6. What was the military strategy of this country in the inter-war years (1919-1938)?Sending troops to Spain, build their military up, invasion
7. What role did they play in WWII? They invaded countries, declared war on France.
8. Who were their allies in WWII? Germany, and the axis power but in the fist10 month they were neutral.
