Today I continued to add to my project. I learned that probably the most famous novel that invloved muckraking was The Jungle which was written by Upton Sinclair. It exposed the details of the Chicago meat packing industry and the immigrants that died while they were working in them. Another thing I learned was that the Muckraking tried to expose the truth by uncovering the "dirt" in the government and businesses.Next we talked about our next project, which I learned will be done in the form of a blog just like the Chapter 9 Project. I choose the topic called the Boxer Rebellion in China. I think that throughout doing research I will learn a lot since I have never heard of the topic before. I am glad we don't have to make a powerpoint.
