Thur april 22

We started off our day with the ited practice. It was about posters that were made about a specific time depicting what was happening. D-Day was on June 6, 1944. D-Day is said to be a successful operation. D-Day was also written in books as operation overlord. US, Canada, and Great Britain were the three forces layed the strike. On the day we attacked it was very stormy and hitler thought it was to bad of a day to get attacked so he lessoned his troops at the point of attack.

Hitler thought we were going to attack farther north than where we really did which was another great advantage to us. We wanted the germans to believe that we were going to first attack a German city called Calias. This was a bad deal for hitler because he sent all his troops there for no reason.

Dwight D Eisenhower, General Montgomery, and George Patton were the military leaders who coined up this attack. These three guys were pretty much the best of the best.

The Allied Breakout. the allies waged all war at once against the axis powers. We surrounded the axis powers. Operation Dragoon was the allied invasion of southern France.

The Liberation of Paris. The liberation of Paris officially ended Operation Overlord. Operation Market Garden was a large airborne attack fought in Germany and Normandy. We essentially cut off all axis supply lines and suffocated them which gave us a brilliant advantage. .
