I think that I was suppose to do the role of the UN and other countries IN or DURING the war with Iraq but oh wells!Russia, France and Germany wanted no part of the war (I think simply because of the oil around that area) ended up declaring they wanted to help rebuild Iraq. (Wow, shoulda been there earlier buddy.) After the United States did all the dirty work and went to war. (Of course its only typical someone would do that. Have no part in the dirty work but sucked up all the glory in the end.) It may be counterproductive when striving for peace. We Americans should be proud that other countries are help even ones who did not participate in contributing troops. Though this help from the UN could be like a double-edged sword for U.S. policy makers. France, Germany, and Russia, thought it was a good idea to monitor Hussein's weapons programs, and punitive economic sanctions. This whole thing is deeply flawed though because the UN is so dependent on the U.S. military force. The international community calls on the U.S. like global policeman and the U.S. always answers the calls as if they were a global policeman.I may seem a little bi-polor. I have a headach don't blame me. This is alitte late because I was sick and slept through two days, my bad.
