This week I have The Great-Society Education.thtwo main goals of the great society was to get rid of poverty and racial injustices.the biggest componet of the education part of the great society was the Elementrey and secondary education act of 1965, which gave federal funding to public schools to purchase materials and begin special needes programes. The act also started the head start program which was suppost to be an 8week program but ended up being perment.
The higher education act of 1965, also created because of the great society, gave more federal mone to colleges to create scholarships and low-interest loans for students, anit also established the national teachers corps. To give teachers to poverty stickened areas.
I am glad the Great Society was created because if it wasn’t we would have more people who can not read or write.
