1. Students will understand the impact the Great Depression and New Deal had on the US.
The Great depression occured in the 1930s and was a horribel time for the US. Rosevelt tried to put in his new deal which was jobs to help out the common people during this time. Most of the people that got by were rich this was also caused by lots of people buying on credit.
2. Students will understand the causes, effects and major events of WWII.
-Pearl Harbor- was the attack carried out by the japanese trying to cripple our naval forces this failed horribley and just got the us closer together and fight.
-D-Day- Landing in normandy to attack the germand and lasted for days this ended when we took over Paris.
-Atomic bombing the atomic bombing was the bombings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki japan.
-Africa/European Front-Due to the Harman colonies in africa we had to attack there as well.
-Pacific Front- There was lots of dog fights and was faught by japan and the phillipenes.
3. Students will understand how/why the Allies won WWII.- After a while of nobody giving up the axis finally gave up and we were invading.
4. Students will understand the causes, effects and major events of the Cold War.
