It was a suprise military attack that Japan made on US. By attacking an USA naval base called Pearl Harbor. Which it was an island in Hawaii which wasn't a state at the time. It was a attack earling in the morning December 7th 1941. It was basically a defensive attack by Japan. They wanted to attack America before they got attack by them. They wanted to attack first. Not the ones being attack. The plan on the attack was to neutralize USA Pacific Fleet. So Japan can advance to other countries to get natural resources. That they needed for the war. Because they lived in mountain climate. USA got destoryed by the Japan fleet. Results below. This conflict between US and Japan. Really kick started US in the war. Which really hurt Japan in the long run. Which you can say that this really helped the Allies win the war in some sort of way.
