Today in class we talked more about the blog for this week. Then we moved on to the blog talks again. First we talked about was Al-Qaeda. Some of their other attacks were on American soldiers in Yemen who were moving to Somalia. A member of Al-Qaeda tryed to bomb the world trade center's foundation. They also attacked the USS Cole killing many Americans on board. The last one was the attack on the US Embassy.Next was the War in Afghanistan. We attacked because of the 9-11 attack. We mainly went after the Taliban and Al-Qaeda. Taliban was easily removed but the other proved very elusive. After the taliban's removal Bush shifted focus to Iraq and Obama wants to put more focus back to Afghanistan. He wants to put more troops here so that the Taliban cannot regain power. This is one of the longest war we have had with little new accomplishments.Mr. Bruns then went over the rubric for the presentation that we are to give shortly. He also gave us tips.
