Inglourious Basterds-> Name of the movie.
I think this was actually a pretty good book. The thing I liked most about it was just like the characters where really good and played very well. I also like how they switched from English to German language a lot so you weren’t always reading it. What I didn’t like about it was how it took forever to get to the climax and right after the climax the movie is over so it’s kind of like, oh? It’s over already? Hm. But over all a good movie I would recommend it but it is two and a half hours long so…
So anyways here is what the movie was mainly about. In the beginning German soldier goes to a German man’s house because he has herd he has been hiding Jews. The German solider is kind of rude, always in everyone’s business. Anyways, he asked him a whole bunch of questions trying not to get right to the point but eventually the German man admits they are hiding under the floor. The other German soldiers come in and shoot through the floor. All of the Jews are killed except for one litter girl who escapes. She runs for her life as the main German solider points his pistol at her. Just as he is about to pull the trigger he puts it down and lets her run free. Just that one girl.
The next scene is at a movie theater, owned by a French girl. Frankie, a German solider and actor comes and talks to her about having a Nazi movie day. She agrees as she feels she should not deny. Through the movie he shows up by her and annoys her. She has a black man that works with her as for he started working there when her aunt and uncle started the place. They died in the floor earlier and they had passed it down to her.
Lots of talking in this movie though. There is a Jew leader who told his soldiers 100 scalps of dead Germans is what he wants. And that is what they get. Their plan is to kill Hitler. Which is the same for the “French girl” who is really the Jew that the Germans killed her family years earlier. She has a plan to set the film on fire and lock them in the theater when everyone is watching a movie. The Jew soldiers plan is to blow up the place at the same time but no one knows.
When everyone is in the theater the girl is ready to start the video to say you are all about to die and her black man friend will set the fire. Except the annoying solider comes and interrupts her. She tries to make him leave but he bust in and yells at her. She tells him to shut the door, so he thinks they will finally do things. As he goes to shut the door she shoots him. After she hears him make a sound and she goes over to touch him, he rolls over and shoots her. They both die in the room together. Right after the black guy sets fire and the theater starts to burn. The Jew solder’s go up to where Hitler is sitting as he tries to run out they shout him to death. Then start shooting at everyone else. Eventually, the bombs on their ankles go of just as almost everyone was dead. And the place is up in flames. And that is pretty much the abrupt ending I was talking about. But it wasn’t that bad of a movie just lengthy. I do encourage anyone to watch it. Enjoy!
