Finally back to school, today we worked on presenting more sections.7-1Why did immigrants come to the US?To make money, escape religious procecutionWhere did immigrants come from?Asia, EuropeWhat problems/issues did immigrants face on the trip over and once they got here?When people came to Ellis Island most people were able to get through if they have never committed a felony and could pay the price. However people who came through Angel Island were a different story.Why did some people want to put restriction on immigration? What were those restrictions?There were different religions and languages and people didn't like people coming to this country, Chinese were taking jobs from people hence the Chinese exclusion Act, racism was a main reason.
