In fifth hour Current World Issues at the Harlan Community high school in room 207, we talked about Marmar Kadhaffi. He is scared of elevators. Poor guy. He is the leader of Libia. He is not a well liked guy by Americans. In fact he is quite hated beause he has killed people. Then we talked about Taliban. He said that Taliban is basically a group of Islamic students that were the government in Afghanistan. They were the very strict government from 1996-2001. After that we talked about Sanen Ben Ladin. his family sort of disowned him and he moved to Sudan. He was kicked out of Sudan after doing some tereorist attacks. Then he moved to afghanistan where he set up schools that trained terrorists. That is not right. This eventually lead to 9-11 and then the war. He really made a terrible impact on our country. Al Quaeda tried to take down the world trade center with a bomb truck but didnt succeed so then in 2001 they took the buildings down with planes.Gihad is a word that means holy war. They believe that it is okay to kill innocent people. Al Quaeda is an organization that is scary to Americans because there group is all over the place. We never know where to find them.
