Homestead Act- The government gave people the land to farm and if they stayed there for 10 years they get the land for free. A lot of the people left and didn't stay.
Transcontinental Railroad- the transcontinental railroad was one of the other rerasons that people came.
Dugouts and Soddies- people had to build their houses out of mud and grasson the great plains.
Women work- Women had to take care of the kids, clean, and help in the feild.
