Monday- Today we wen over the South America map of the countries and the capitals.
We discussed more about India and trafficking. Purchased brides are called "Paro." The men who but a wife are looked down upon. Patriarchy is were men are higher than women. The men dominate over women. Women are second class. Men have to get married or they are seen as an outcast.
We also reviewed for the test. We are testing over Ebola, Ferguson, Ed O'Bannon, and ISIS.
Tuesday- We took our non-map test.
Wednesday- We finished our test.
Thursday- Today we talked about 9/11. We also talked about Obama sending airstrikes towards ISIS.
ISIS (IS or Islamic State now)- The UN Security Council consists of U.S., China, Russia, U.K., and France.
The goal for Obama is degrade and eventually destroy ISIS. Degrade means to break them down.
The Plan that Obama has is the will send airstrikes to Iraq. Will send 1,600 U.S. personal in Iraq. Putting an additional 400 troops. The american forces do not have a combat plan. We are increasing our military assistance in Syria helping the Syrian Opposition. Will increase our counter terrorism by breaking down the group. Will continue to provide humanitarian assistance in Iraq.
9/11- I am researching the background of Osama Bin Laden's childhood. The blog need two pictures, two sources, and thoughts and opinions.
9/11- There was 4 planes hijacked. Two went towards the World Trade Center (New York), another one went to a small town names Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and another one into the Pentagon (Arlington, Virginia). It happened in 2001 and Al Quida was the group that attacked. 3,000 children lost their parents. The attacked caused a lot of depression. The new World Trade Center is 1776 feet tall. We also watched a video about George W. Bush and what happened to him on 9/11.
Friday- Today we reviewed the Central America map. We picked new forum post leaders. They are Lyric, Jacob, and Perri. We talked about NFL and how people are viewing them. People are thinking of the as "Wife Beaters." NFL does not want to be known as "Wife Beaters," because they want women to like their network. The Michael Brown Case has some new witnesses that agree with Michael Brown's friend's story.
